"Dirty Drawing." Workshop with Spanish architects Flores y Prats.

Concept:

All participating students had to chose a personal studyplace in our school, I went for the place that makes me feel comfortable. My location is on top of the bridge (gangway) inside the building. Eventhough the school has this feeling of massiveness because of the concrete columns, you don’t have this idea when sitting on that bridge. The view you have is very open and light, like floating through the building.
In my design I absolutely didn’t want to disturb this lightness, or the circulation of the bridge. I needed a place to just sit, think, read and work on my laptop, nothing more. Not even a resting area, if I would be in the need for a little rest, I could just daydream by staring at the window at the opposite side of the void. A compact place, not to big, just for me.
